My father, Thomas P. Sullivan passed away on August 7, 2020, after a 5 1/2 year battle with cancer. He was 89 years old.

I was with him when he left us. I held his hand and sang to him. To accompany him in this moment was a tremendous gift and a profound honor for me.

I am one of eleven siblings. Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, is has been impossible for us to gather and celebrate his life as we were able to do for our mother when she passed away 7 years ago. Our family needs to grieve together, and we will.

But I also feel a deep personal longing to express my own love and gratitude for the one who placed my feet on the path of music when I was a young child. I know he is proud of me for staying with it. In my own humble and incomplete way, I have endeavored to create a video tribute to Dad. Here it is.
