Advent is a deep and mysterious season whose shadowy chill permeates our December in ways unlike any other. In blinding contrast, we see the world around us, frantically spending, over-consuming, rushing around to parties.

In the secular world, the din of secular holiday cheer has already surged to deafening levels by Black Friday.  But in the quiet of our ancient faith tradition, advent is silence, anticipation and hope.  These enduring themes invite us to search the star-filled sky for the returning Sun of Justice:  Jesus is coming!
